Scholarship Information
Dollar Hand is proud to offer the Future of Finance Scholarship Award to both current and future college students. Whilst this may be of particular interest to those majoring in Business, Finance, Accounting, Maths, Economics, Management and Technology, we believe the award is highly relevant to everyone and therefore accepts students from all departments.
Finance is at the forefront of everyday life and so we are keen to raise awareness and get students thinking about the economic future. Our scholarship therefore gives students the chance to connect with the outside world and to look at the bigger picture, which we believe is the best preparation for their future decisions.
We are passionate about sparking awareness in students and look to empower and commend students interested in financial forecasting. Applicants will be judged based on the submission of a 1000 word essay, with the opportunity to be awarded $500 towards their education. The scholarship funds will be sent directly to the college or university that the winner attends or is planning to attend as a contribution towards their tuition fees.

What Are The Essay Requirements For The Future Of Finance Scholarship?
Who Can Apply For Dollar Hand’s Scholarship Award?
To qualify for Dollar Hand’s Future of Finance Scholarship Award, you must fit the following criteria:
- Be a current or future college student (i.e. a high school senior)
- Be enrolled for an accredited part-time or full-time course
- Have an average GPA of at least 2
- Complete an essay submission of 1000 words
How To Apply For Dollar Hand’s Finance Scholarship
To apply for the Future of Finance Scholarship, you will need to email justine@dollarhand.com with the following information:

- The name of your college or university
- What year of college or university you are in (high school seniors are classified as ‘college freshman’)
- Your essay attached in PDF format
Scholarship Essay Deadlines
Please take into account the following important dates for Dollar Hand’s scholarship:
- Due Date: 17th August annually
- $500 Awarded: 31st August annually
The winner should respond within 2 weeks of the announcement, otherwise another winner will be chosen. The $500 scholarship funds will be deposited directly to the university or college that the winner attends or is planning to attend no later than 2 weeks from the time the student has been notified of their award.
Terms and Conditions
Dollar Hand’s Future of Finance Scholarship Award is available to all US citizens, permanent residents and international students who are high school seniors or who attend a college or university in an accredited part-time or full-time course. The scholarship is open to all applicants regardless of national origin, gender, race, religion or disability. Students located outside of the US who are at American accredited universities may also participate.
Applicants must create unique entries, as all plagiarism will be rejected. Essays with false information will be disqualified. Submitted entries will be assessed by a neutral representative.
There are no fees or costs to enter the Future of Finance Scholarship Award. $500 will be awarded to the applicant deemed most successful at the discretion of Dollar Hand. Subject to the winner’s approval, Dollar Hand may publish the name of the winner on its website. The scholarship money will be sent directly to the winner’s current or future place of attendance. The university will then disburse the $500 accordingly as financial aid.
